Lead Educator


Lead Educators are responsible for development and delivery of education programming at Chehaw, The Flint RiverQuarium, and Thronateeska. This position is responsible for creating and facilitating positive education interactions in support of each organization's mission. While this position works on many different facets of educational programming throughout the year, we are seeking an individual to develop new programming and help curate exhibits in Thronateeska's Discover and Heritage Center (Science and History Museum).

This is an essential position. Employees must be available for work 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, in the event of emergencies and natural disasters. All positions may require employees to work some weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Job Duties:

Qualifications:

Full time, hourly, pay range $12.62–14.42 per hour

Must be able to lift 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to work outdoors for 90% of the day in all-weather conditions; be able to tolerate strong odors, dust, hay, animal fur, hair, and dander.
